The fish are there, a buddy got 5 on Monday morning, all on sticks. They trolled 35-50 feet from the catt towards sturgeon point. He fished 20-30 down. Made 1 pass with the waves and came in. They were out probably 5 hours.
Thanks for the report.
This Saturday looks like the only day this weekend with the weather.
Unfortunately, I have an appointment for some service on my SUV at the dealer early Saturday.
And people coming out to our lake place on Erie afterwards.
This weekend I watch the boats out there and the Lund stays covered unfortunately.
Good luck.

weather buoy is working
Finally got out today. One black bass, one sheep head, one walleye. We trolled a long way. From Sturgeon Pt to east of Seneca Shoals.
Report from yesterday We picked up 2 walleye, one bass. One walleye was 27" 6.05 lbs. Not a big fish but at least was able to enter it. Hay you never know???????
Trolled today from Sturgeon Pt. to west of the Catt. Yikes 1 walleye, 1 sheep head. Slow Slow Slow . The bugs and flies were biting good though. :p
Went out for a couple hours this afternoon. 50 fow along US / Canada boarder, 1.8mph, 5 color, off planer boards, black and purple worm harness - 2 walleye. Nothing off dipsey's or torpedo's. Flies are horrible out there today! Anyone catching them off downriggers? I have a set, but have never used them for walleye.
thanks for the info capt joe hope it picks up this weekend

Not a good day today for us today. Only one silver bass. We trolled from west of Brocton to Dunkirk. A lot of trolling. We didn't see much on the graph, and we didn't catch much. It was a beautiful day to be out there though. Great day for a boat ride. I hope it picks up soon Jeff.
bad day of fishing is still better than going to work where I was, I'm headed out tomorrow from the sbh

Jeff, when you fish with a 24 year old his 5am is 9am. Just happy to get out for the first time since the heart attack. Not to crazy about the sbh, kind of a Mongolian Bunch .......... There was a bunch of bungholes with bassboats without manors. Jumped the lines for pulling out. I don't have a free boat, my pos has to be put on a trailer also. Jeesh.
Got 5 straight out from PB Saturday.
55 to 65 FOW.
3 on the downriggers 5-7 ft off the bottom. worm harnesses
One on a dipsey set at 3 - 150' out with a small black and gold rapala
Other came on 6 colors off a board with a harness.
Had another we lost at the boat off the 4 color we had out.
Also caught 4 silverbass.
Great day out on the water with my son Jeff.
I was suffering with a cold (still am), but being out fishing with one of my boys helps ease the pain.
Wind/waves look crazy this weekend on Erie.
"might" have a small window tomorrow morning.
We'll see.
If not, I will clean and wax the Lund and install my new bimini top.
FYI - this weekend is a free fishing weekend. You don't need a license to fish in NY on the 24 th & 25 th. I blame the government for the bad weather so they save money. :):):)
did some bottom bouncing around Seneca shoals 35-40fow for a couple of hours this morning one walleye (28in) and one sheephead black and purple willow leaf harness
got pretty windy jeff
Its been so long that I have been out I forgot what fishing feels like. I actually went and pulled the boat out to clean it up and charge batteries. All it was doing was collecting algae. The day I pulled it out it was hailing and when I got to the boat there was a good inch of hail in the corner of the cockpit. Yikes.
Went out for a couple hours Wed evening. Caught 5, but only one keeper. Sheep head were biting too unfortunately.
looks like sunday Monday and Tuesday looks like great weather
right there with you capt Joe. Hopefully the lake settles down after this.
Heading out of sbh in am, hope it's not too crowded at 6
Hello everyone, managed to get out for the first time on Erie out of the Catt. We fished east and caught 11 with a throw back. We worked for these fish, not a lot on the screen. 62-64' and most caught were the middle third of water column. Sticks were working for us. Thanks FK
Went 9 for 10 with one throwback, 40-50 fow out of sbh, flicking launch was a zoo around 1 coming in!
Didn't even want to deal with sbh today. Went out of sp, in and out, easy. One 20", then the goofies started showing up with the speed boats. Nice 3 hours on the water.
Went out of SP today towards the line then trolled west.Boated one 29" walleye, lost one at the boat. A couple other hits and one sheep head. 3 color worked the best then 5 color with worm harnesses.
Went out of Dunkirk, got 2, 1 throw back and a sheepshead, 60-70 ft. Missed a few others, riggers and dipsey got all the hits. Harnesses and plugs. All tight to the bottom. Water temp was 68 at the probe
went out of sbh (I'm docked there) fished 40 -53 fow got one 24inch a lot of short strikes I did better bottom bouncing in 45fow
jeff
Went out of SP Monday and Tues. Got 2 on Monday and 4 on Tues. 30 ft near the mouth of 18 mile. Silver blades
Out of SP today. Boated 4 one was 32" long but only 7 pounds. We did have two throwbacks.
steady stream of guys cleaning fish this afternoon at sbh with waiting line
Fished out of SP yesterday, got 6 but 2 were throw back dinks, 14" . Fished 60-70 fow
Fished wed out of SP and went east with everyone else. Boated 6, 2 were short both 14 3/4" and 2 others were 18". Bunch of hits on dipsys and rigger releases that didn't stick, just eating the worms. Seemed to be a nice school of fish there, everything off the bottom.
Fished out of sbh yesterday. Got our limit out by the fence in 53-54'. 4-5-6-7 color and had couple throwbacks. Also managed to hook up to as many sheep head as Walleye's😬😎
