Nice going Greenhead!
great job keep um coming
We are heading out on Tuesday for the second time this year. Just looking for a bit of information as to where to go, whats being used, depths, etc... Thanks and good luck
Fished out of Barcelona on Sat. Boated 8 plus 2 silver bass. All throwbacks 14-15 inchers. All on different tackle and colors. 60-80 fow, 20-55 feet down.
Fished out of Dunkirk today. Slow, very slow, 2 walleye, 2 perch. We were east of Purina from 65 to 80 ft. water.
Fished west of SP yesterday, 5 boxed and had couple throwbacks. 75' water, 6-7 color caught most. Tight lipped for what we marked. Eater size😎For most part.
Fished out of Sturgeon Pt today. I went east. I caught 1 walleye, 1 sheep head. The walleye was 15 1/2". I sent it back to the lake. It went belly up. Then the walleye gods released HAVOC on me and everybody else. I should have gone west. :)
Got 6 keepers & 5 throw backs(to short) in 68-78 fow today in front of the catt. most came on orange harnesses.
Got 4 keepers 3 throwbacks, one large perch, many sheephead and one 40 plus inch Musky😎 On the fence in 65' out of SBH.
got one shorty one sheephead a lot of short strikes again 45-60fow cooper and orange harness out of sbh not too many boats out
jeff
the sp web cam is up and working
Finally, went out of SP this morning to the condos. Managed 5 walleye, 4 large sheep head, 1 silver bass. We had several strikes but who knows what. ??? Nice day with the weather on the pond.
Fished out of Dunkirk yesterday 78-100 fow, ended up with 15 keeper eyes, 6-7 short throw backs, 5-6 lost & 2 lakers, . most came on orange & watermelon harnesses.
Nice Job lineman😃
Fished yesterday solo out of Dunkirk 700-130pm. Water temps were all over the place. Managed to get my first NY Erie limit, 16-21" fish no big ones but I am happy with the nice eaters as well as happy that the future of this fishery looks like it will be great for a few more years at least. Fished 65-80 fow most fish were tight to the bottom, best area was 71 fow temp there was in the 70's on the probe. Had to keep checking the rods as many of the small throwbacks were tagging along for a ride so I probably could have been done earlier. Started out a little bumpy in the morning but then the wind died and the water got almost glass flat. Got fish on blue chatterstick and darker harnesses. DR 67-69 down and dipsey at 1.5 200 feet back. Water temp was 60-72 on the Depth raider probe, there were pockets of warmer water where I got fish and pockets of colder water, this NE wind coming will probably mix things even more.
Way to go Lineman and dukhnter8. Sounds like you had fun. :)
A beautiful day on the pond for Lady Christine and crew. The best day so far this year. We boated 11 walleye. Worm harnesses worked, Bay Rats worked, plugs worked, downrigger worked. Boated a few with the Bay Rat Ultimate Blue Buddha stick bait. A lot of fun today.
I had a horrible day one 18in one sheepheed I was changing harnesses couldn't get anything to work left sbh went west started in 50 fow all the way to sp
marking fish I just don't have it this year must be the new boat lol and also lost a dipsey and harness

I feel your pain. With the anticipation of a finally flat lake I couldn't even find a willing trolling crew. Switch of gears and head out to drown bait out of SBH. Launch was no problem at 7am. Hit the intake with crawdads and leeches and played with smallies and sheepshead all morning. Then came time for the retrieve.
Yikes! What a fiasco. Cars lined from the launches back to Fuhrmann. Two young girls trying to direct the action with little luck. One guy pulling his boat up the ramp, tires smoking, only to realize he had his outdrive fully down. And of course the usual people that can't back up a trailer. The people waiting to launch were all pissed,as it was starting to get hot and their day on the water was slipping away. One woman was walking around complaining to anyone that would listen. She almost got backed over twice til someone, I won't say his name but it may have been me, told her to get the hell off the ramp apron. Was thinking of going back to sit on the rocks with a beer to watch the show but had other commitments.
Avoid those ramps on a nice weekend day at noon it's worse than you have heard or imagined. And that says nothing of the barely navigable driveway with all the turns and high curbs just to get in off the street.
It's was getting back up at 8:30am yesterday morning when I left I keep the boat in the water easier I do like to sit there and watch people launch and retrieve fun to watch
Jeff
My buddy & I use to take a cooler of beer & chairs & sit at the launch & watch it was fun to watch, lots of laughs .
when the restaurant at the sbh back in the day served draft beer me and the wife used get pitchers of beer and French fries sit at a table and watched
then I became one of them getting laughed at lol
jeff
Nauti, that place is a mess. I try to avoid it on the weekends. It's even worse when your alone. Sturgeon is much better.
A slow day on the pond today. Only managed 3 walleye. But still great to be out there.
Went out solo this morning from Sturgeon Point. Headed way west almost to the Catt and worked my way back, checking different spots. Really couldn't get a good screen anywhere, 1 - 15" fish which I tossed back. Mostly what I marked was on the bottom, tough day for me, better screen as I got closer to S.P. Maybe I should of checked a little shallower, who knows. Put the sensitivity way up, was not able to see any thermocline today.
Another slow day from Sturgeon Pt. Managed 3 walleye, 1 sheep head, 1 perch that bit funny.
Went out of the Catt Sunday. 5 boxed 7 shorts all harnesses never caught a fish under 65 FOW. All but two off dipseys 60' down.
Hit Dunkirk, 7-1030, got my six. Threw back a bunch of smaller ones, most fish were 16-18inches riggers and dipsey. Most came on harnesses a few on plugs. 75-90 ft, down 70-85. Temps were 65-72 on probe.
Out of the Catt yesterday boxed 7, had some shorts & lost a few. riggers & dipsys , also 2 nice perch. fished 75-80 fow. all harnesses.
What a nice day on the pond. Went out of SP west / north /west about 8 miles. Started fishing around 7:30 am. What has been a very disappointing year turned into one of the best days ever. :) We had constant action from when we put out first line in until 10:30 am with our 2 man limit. We also had several throwbacks. This was the fastest limit that I ever had. The fish weren't large but there were plenty. We also got perch, several silver bass and some large shad. All worm harnesses, dipsey's and lead core worked.
Yup they were on today. Got 8, all keepers. Went west out of S.P.. Trolled west in 70+ FOW. Marked tons of fish. Also kept 5 nice perch. Ran out of crawlers and got 2 on Gulp worm. Talked to others at the marina and they had 10 + 12 each.
18 walleye 9 were throwbacks on worm harnesses on dipseys and downrigger. Thanks to perfection fishing and Steve luterek Capt
Fished out of the Catt yesterday 3:30 - 7:30 pm same area as last time. boxed 9 keepers & threw as many shorts back, was a beautiful evening.
We went out again today. Another 2 man limit. A few dropped at the boat a few throwbacks, 2 perch, a few monster sheep head, silver bass, white perch. A lot of fun. I hope this keeps up. It took us 4 hrs for the limit. I heard someone had a 2 man limit in 1 1/2 hrs. Nice.
Where has that Fishkiller guy been. He used to post a lot on this website. I wonder how he's been doing? Maybe he's fishing with that Bailey guy????
Good going Capt. Keep it up.
I'm still here just a busy season at work . I'd love to fishing but the overtime is crazy . I'll get out before the bite ends a few times. You guys just all keep picking away at them . It's great to read about your catches .

Went out of the state launch at Sunset this morning. After an hour delay for a t-storm, we were on the water at 9am. Hit 68' NE of the Cat. Marked a ton of fish all the way out to 75'. Had three fish on at once and the two at once, all keepers largest 6lbs, one short and one sheep. Then of course the wind came up, the kicker acted stupid, so we quit early, 1pm. Streaky day, maybe the eclipse, who knows. Five in the box and found out the state launch doesn't charge seniors Monday through Friday.
Went out of Dunkirk Monday and managed 6 keepers in 100 foot of water on worm harnesses. What Eclipse?
