Went to Barcelona this am and fished just west of the harbor in 58-80 fow. Got 6 between 8am and 9am and then only 1 after that. I really wish we had got down their an hour earlier as I think we would have had our limit by 9. All 7 came on wormharnesses right on the bottom. Watermelon and black/chartreuse. 5 of the 7 came right at 65 fow.
Went to Barcelona again this am. Very good bite but it ended at 9am again. We managed 6 landed and 3 missed/lost before 9. Then we only got 4 between 9 and 4. They were a little deeper today with most of our fish coming off the bottom in 75 fow
Went out of Buffalo yesterday along the line. 3 walleye, 8 sheephead, one perch. A little bumpy in the am but settled down a bit. Lots of fish on the screen. ????
We took a nice boat ride today. Well actually was rough going out then flattened out a bit. Trolled about 3 1/2 hours. One sheephead.
We fished out of Barcelona yesterday and got a two man limit in 65 - 83 fow. Most fish came off the bottom but a few were off the downriggers at 45ft. All on wormharnesses with no color dominant. Had to pick thru some shorts and sheepshead.
We fished the line between Abino and Chrystal Beach. Saw many marks but only managed 1 walleye and 1 sheephead. Pulled harnesses. 5, 6,7,and 9 color 3 dipsys. Couldn't get them to turn on. ???
Fished same area. The slobs were out 5pm-9pm Wednesday. Got 3 6-8lbers on sticks.
Thursday same timeframe and area. 1 sheepshead and a lot less activity on the screen.
Practically identical conditions except wind direction…

Slow morning out of Barcelona today. Screen was mostly blank and we managed only four. 1 on the bottom and 3 off the down riggers. Three of the four were taken with watermelon worm harnesses.
Word on one of the other sites is that their is a decent bite between sturgeon pt and pt. Abino. Just wondering if anyone has been out and if the fish at this end are biting at all?

Fished out of the Catt this morning. Got five walleyes and four perch. Got 2 right away and then it slowed down. A lot of fish on the screen. Watermelon harnesses on 7 color lead core got most of our action.
Fished out of the Cat. the last 3 days. Boated 6 friday, 11 Sat., and 6 today. Got many hits and misses but that was fun for a change
Fished out of the Cat. this weekend. Got 3 on Thursday, 9 on Friday, 10 on Sat.

Has anyone heard of the fishing picking up again by the North gap? Inside or outside the break wall?
Fished the Catt yesterday morning. Kind of slow but we did end up with 5, all on harnesses spread throughout the water column. No color was dominant. We were in 75-85 fow.
I read that some have been doing good there. But I don't. ??? I'm not a bottom bouncer. I'm more geared for the open lake 60 + feet. I fish lead core and dipsys. I need to get retrained.Quote:

The wind was low early yesterday, so we went out of SP. Started at approximately 70', the transducer bracket cracked and broke away, wind picked up,2' rollers. Picked up 3, had the lake to ourselves.
We fished just west of the Catt today and got 17 on wormharnesses. Probably would have gotten our limit if we hadn't run out of worms (the silver bass wore us out) or not lost 5 fish.
The Catt is on fire. Launched around 6:30 and headed West to 67 fow and trolled out to 82 fow. Got a two man limit in 2 hrs. All on harnesses. A couple off the riggers but the majority were 8 and 9 color lead core.
Good for you. I went out of Safe Harbor yesterday. Trolled to Seneca Shoals around it. Towards the line. Not ONE HIT! Trolled 2 , 3 5, 7 color, dipsys all worm harnesses. :mad:Quote:

There are still walleyes just west of the Catt in 80 fow. We got 9 today on wormharnesses fished off downriggers and 9 color lead core.

I thought I seen on the news they are removing it all the ice is from smokes creek to the boom I drove by the lake today to check
Got out today - FINELY :) Picked up 7. 1 short. Trolled from 7:30 until 12:15.
Hey, wondered if there are any reports lately? Anyone been finding walleye out of Dunkirk or the Catt? Struggling to sort it out this spring....
First walleye trip of the year didn't go as I hoped. Fished the fence in 50-52 fow yesterday evening. Only caught one short and three sheepshead.
Fished Barcelona this am. Got 11 in 70 fow
Not sure if anyone uses this page anymore but the bite in Barcelona is hot. Fished solo this am and got a limit in just over an hour.
