Believe it or not Progressive was the lowest rate for my boat insurance even though I have multiple cars, motorcycle and 2 homes insured with Erie insurance they couldn't compete with Progressive on the boat. Progressive includes tow and has vanishing deductible. In fact, a couple of years ago some line got tangled up in my prop and cut the seal out and the loss of fluid caused the upper drive unit to fail. I had a $500 tow bill and a $3000 plus mechanical bill and it didn't cost me a penny out of pocket! $173.00 a year full coverage including trailer and the boat retailed around $35,000 when I bought it new.

This is a fishing, hunting and other related outdoor activities forum and not a forum to discuss personal political views and ideology. There are plenty of other sites out there that are related to politics and I am sure they would welcome your contributions.
The original poster asked about insurance based upon the members knowledge about their services. You have furnished untrue information about the Progressive Insurance Company. That information is obviously based upon your political ideology and/or your political/social opinion and not on what services they actually provide or their dependability in providing those services.

Chumthrower I don't mean to dislike your post down their I must have fat fingered the screen scrolling on my phone lol. I agree with tow insurance I unfortunately have been stuck on the water without it and it cost me big time. Those of tou that have An agreed upon price did someone come out to appraise your boat? I was doing some reading up on it, and I guess I thought it was only for classic cars never thought it was an option for boats.

yes theres some great info in this thread. I went thru Bob and my policy is under progressive also. If you have a lot of money tied up in your boat and equipment, you owe it to yourself to make a phone call and ask your agent these questions....
1. If I had a total loss today, would they give me what it would cost to replace my boat today ?
2. Would they give me the money on top of the boat, to replace my kicker, terrova, 3 fish finders, trolling combos, rod holders, inline boards, lures ?
3. Is towing included?

I agree with you Eyecrazy,
I also have Progressive for my boat and Erie for everything else...lol. My wife is an insurance guru and could not beat the deal from progressive. I also have an agreed upon price.
It pays to shop around.
