Radio ideas, need imput from members

Everyone knows that this site is full of great info on fishing. But how many times are you on the water and for some reason the fish has moved or the program has changed. I was thinking that we could select a channel on the radio that was uniform for members to talk on, and get real time info when your fishing not at home on the computer. I know there will be pros and cons to this idea but what do you guys think?

I think that is a pretty good idea. I live about 2 1/2 hours away from erie, and rely on this website and past expericence and fishing reports pretty heavily, to get the most out of every trip I can make over there. To be able to recieve or help someone else out with real time info would be great.

I like this idea as well. I to live 2.5 hrs away and rely mainly on this board for info and advice. I'm up and at it almost every weekend. I would have no problem letting others in on the action if I could ever really find it. Anyone have any channel suggestions?

Sounds good to me.....all we have to do is pick channel...post it on here a few times...and if u r a reg user of this site...every time u post some thing....put the channel num..and say this is the websites channel the we use alot

Sounds good to me just dony pick a channel that is already loaded with chatter. I am not out eveyday but out 3 - 4 days per week

How about channel 24? Just trying to get some channel ideas thrown out there. Several of us seem to think its a good idea, but no channel suggestion have been made. Guess I'll start with suggesting Ch 24.

Channel 24 sounds fine to me.

If things are like I think they are, the channels you are talking about 24 and 84 are marine operator channels that were designated by the FCC for use in public sea to shore telephone communication. They are encripted meaning you can only hear one side of the conversation. They are also ( or at least used to be) used by Telephone companies only. A lot has changed in the last few years but be aware there may be problems with these selections. That's the very reason the Non-Com channlels are all cluttered. The rest are all off limits for reports and day to day hailing and chatter.
