I'm brand new to this forum and the last time I fished for walleye on Lake Erie I was 10 and we were fishing with Erie Dearies and worms in late May.

I'm coming up this weekend with some family to fish. I've read about the jig fishing in the shallows and some of the trolling off the sides of the reefs. With the cool down in temperatures the next few days, anybody have any ideas on what method to start with? Usually I'd say a cold snap would push them slightly deeper and get them moving slower, so I'd troll slowly off the reefs, but maybe Lake Erie walleye aren't like that and I should plan on a jig/worm harness bite.
