That's sort of weird. After I posted, I talked with someone else and they said it was gone. Said it blew out with the south wind and satellite view no ice west of Islands.

Not sure what satellite your friend is looking at, but there hasn't been a clear satellite picture since the 24th.

This is Lake Erie as of this morning from the NOAA satellite. Looks like break up has begun.

SW blow for about the next day. 20-25 sustained. That'll push a lot of that crap past the islands.

well I'll make the last post here- probably. Weather has cooperated. Open water fishing has begun, but the ice is still out there, so watch the forecast winds.
