    Default jigging

There are a lot of fish to be caught on a jig still. Fishing early helps and stay out of middle of pack. Lots of us limited early. Having good sticks fishing always helpd. Fish are getting very aggressive tho many got caught on big hook

There definitely is still a jig bite. I trolled yesterday out in the Bermuda triangle for a few hours and finally abandoned that plan for jigging and it paid off quickly.

    Default early bite

Yes, but the earlier you go out the better it is most days.
Saturday was good all morning with a nice limit. Sunday was good n fast but only during the very early morning then it slowed down.
Even the no wind condition, straight down vertical jigging did better than cast n hop it back method, lift a foot and control the drop.
Jig colors vary from the classic purple, black, green and white.
Lots of white perch, sheephead and catfish ( big catfish ).
Tried throwing a spinner n worm in the deeper edges of the out reefs but not a bump yet.
Walleye size varied from to 14 to 27 inch.
    Back at this Thursday !

Boss, where are you referring to when you say Bermuda Triangle? Never heard that one before.

    Default size

3/4 oz took most but a few on 5/8 oz.
We tipped with shiners, It helped on the later morning fish. The fish we boxed before 7 am hit the bare jig hard.
Walleye (males ) were milking yet. Prob half of them were milking and we caught some yellow perch and they were milking also.

I am talking about the space between C can, D can, and rattlesnake island.

Thanks Capt. Greg, I guess we would have caught more if we would have had shiners. I will have to remember that. I usually troll with planers and spoons. Not hip to the jig bite. Thanks again and happy fishing!!!!!!!!
