Excited to hear official weight & length from reputable source. Reviewed pic via friend Saturday. Some confusion involved, but he is always confused. Let us know ODNR.

Here's the guide service the fish was caught with... http://www.mikessportfishing.com/ You can see the pic on there also. Apparently the guide said the whole thing is getting blown out of proportion and the fish isn't a state record. The gentleman the caught it is John Gillespie who hosts a show called Waters and Woods...still a toad though...

Oh, I can only imagine how much John was yelling "What a SLOB! What a SLOB"! (At least he couldn't yell, "Get the Frabil" on the ice).

Curious to know it's official weight too. I'm sure it's been weighed on a certified scale...who knows the weight? We're dying to know.

According to John G's Facebook page....he's holding this pic, and claims, "My biggest walleye ever through the ice! Caught at 12:55 EST. 11lbs+!!"

So, if this is the same fish, then it's not a state record.

EDIT: But, now he just came back and said in response to a question I posted on his FB page about the fish...
"We have an official weight, but you'll have to tune in to the show. It aires this weekend. I will update Facebook as well after the show airs. Thanks for watching!"

Sigh....Unfortunately, we don't get his show over here in Ohio.

I think if that fish was 37 inches it would weigh in at more than 11lbs.+. I had a 31 inch that weighed in at 11.5 lbs. That HOG makes mine look small. Glad I booked a trip with Mike's Sportfishing the first Saturday in Feb. Maybe he can put me on some nice fish!
