For the inline boards I use a 1 pc. 7 ft. medium action Casting Rod and or trolling rod. Here are a couple of good rods that more than get the job done at a good price! All are under $30.00. Cabela's Whuppin' Stick and 1100 series Shakespeare Ugly Stik available at Walmart, these are very durable and capable rods. Better to go with a little less rod (cheaper) and put the savings into a little better quality reel, meaning the best reels that you can afford! I personally believe the reel is the real work horse when it comes to walleye trolling.
