Capt. Sam "Porkchop" new campground

Many of you will remember Capt. Sam Porkchop was a daily poster to this site in past years along with Capt. Jules. Thank you Capt. Jules for all the time you spend after every trip in keeping us updated. (I know it is late in the season, but I have yet to launch my boat as this is the third year we are having sea wall, docks and lifts put in.) AS soon as I launch, I hope to post. Anyway, I see his new 67 site RV park has begun on Bridge Rd. (I believe that is also State Rt 163) across from the Dog Park and around the corner from Fort Firelands and the Canoe Club restaurant. They have begun the 8 million dollar project with a pole building at the front of the ground. Capt Sam wanted to have a place for all the out of town fishermen to have their boats with them as they camp right next to their boats and equipment.

It's on 269N between the bank and the cop shop...

It's so much more than a campground going in there...
campsites with gravel pads and a concrete patio pad for each lot...with electric, water, and sewer for each lot.

16 cabins, a pole barn, their fmaily's house, a fenced in dog yard...

It will also have a Restaurant, Bait Shop, Fish Cleaning, and a laundry mat.
