I totally agree. Went up this weekend with a buddy. Cost $200 in gas and bait for our 60 perch.

OUCH! I grumbled about my $30 in gas in the truck and $20 in the boat + $10 for bait. Maybe I won't grumble so much after hearing your bill... Maybe...

Yeah, I wish it were a $60 bill. That'd cut my fuel bill in half. That's if I do no running around on the water.
It's all in that drive for the big fish and that thrill of "fish on".

Around seven years for a female and 10 plus years for a male. This is for the western basin of lake erie.. it may be shorter in the central or eastern basin. This was from a study from commercial netters..
