I have seen alot of people that need to read this post. I dont know how many times I have been out on the lake and had to change my course because someone has no idea of the navigation rules. Keep up the good posts and reports Skipper9!

I was always told the boat on the RIGHT has the RIGHT of way. A few people always seem to go with I have right of way no matter what.

been fishing erie for 35 years and my rule is to avoid all the people that dont know the rules give up the right away.what really gets my sheephead is when your casting for walleye got a top of water bite and someones comes in fullblast and stops in your drift. happens a lot

I think a lot of people out there don't care what the rules are and as far as they are concerned they are on the only boat out there that matters. Best rule of thumb is to always assume the person you are dealing with does not know the rules and boat defensively. No matter how good the fishing is the #1 rule has to be you and your crew making it back to the dock safely.

paint ball
What happened to the "golden rule" that transfers to water right. Given right away and so on...common sense/saftey is 1. I think paint ballen would leave to more dock n shore activities. I've sent one invite, but no dancers...lol. But maybe the paint ball maybe the trick for the birds at rear of boat.
