Back in the 90's we used to hammer the smallies all around middle and north bass. South and east shores were the best on north bass. The east, west, and north shores were the best on middle bass. Leeches worked the best, if u want to use live bait. Rig them on a plain jig or even on a bobber. We wouldn't fish the actual banks, but not too far off them or on some large flats. Like another guy said, you would have to do it in April though. Good luck!!

thanks for the info guys and yes im well aware of may 1st ill be fishing 28th-1st and i usualy dont keep smallies anyway.

Once the water temp reaches 55 degrees around the islands they will start staging for the spawn all around the islands..
