was wondering if you've seen ny airboat traffic out of crane or metzgers when we came down a couple weeks ago there wasnt enough ice to get out past 2 miles just trying to get some info thanks lucky

Think I might try it on sat, satelite photo looks good for about 6 to 7 mile out hope the snow isnt to deep but with 40mph winds cant realy see much snow sitting on the ice, im sure there is some.

I spoke with Patrick today from Magee Marsh Wildlife Administration office. To help clear up some confusion. Patrick stated that they are allowing motorized vehicles to access the beaches but request/expect everyone to use designated trails they are marking. They are removing the existing signage and replacing them with designated trail signage.

As far as ice conditions? Caution is the key component. The winds did do some damage. Hard to tell where the cracks are but Patrick also fishes and he stated that there is a crack a mile offshore but it is passable.

there was airboat traffick off of metzgers on monday and tuesday, the storm did create some new ice shoves at about the 1.5 mile mark could not see what was on the other side due to the hieght of this shove, looks to run pretty far to the east.
