Went out saturday, weatherman missed it...far more than 1 ft waves from the west. Lots of marks but few bites with the goldie minnows. It seemed they would take a small nible then leave the bait alone. Did notice what appeared to be quite a few boats over toward the Toledo channel, anyone have any luck ?

It wasn't just you...Saturday sucked.....we only got 2 perch in 4 hours (marking fish in all the spots we tried), and the captains I talked to were having the same experience with the bite. At least the white perch kept them entertained while we were out there.
I gave them an option, which they accepted, and I ended our trip two hours early. I gave them a discount. The reports I read online later that day showed the same results, so I was happy to have made the call to end it early.
He's coming back in September to give it another try.

it was deffinatly slow last saturday 5 of us gott 31 keepers with about 50 5 inch throw backs. nice of you to offer discount and head in early.
