trolling help

I'm new to trolling and could use a little help. I bought some trolling rods and reels with line counters, but I'm not sure what type and pound fishing line to use. I will mainly be using jets & dipsys. Any advice would be appreciated.

you will get lots of answers to this question depending on the individual! I troll 14-17lb mono. I trolled today with braid and reasured my self i didnt like it! Just seemed to loose a lot of fish. The braid guys will say they loose fish on mono, Its all up to the individual.
