We jigged this same area today - NW of PC and N of PC. Fished from 18 to 15 fow. About 30 boats in the area including 4 head boats. We saw lots of netting going on. We ended up with 16 keeper walleyes, 1 keeper catfish and I think 4 keeper white perch. Threw back at least one of each of those species. It was not a fast bite for us but steady enough to keep at it, especially with all the success in the neighboring boats. Walleyes were 14 - 19 inch males as expected.

Friday 4-17, foggy start ~ kept this dog at the dock until fog cleared. NW of Port Clinton in 12 fow south of the pack.
Managed 6 nice eater eyes, lost two at the boat. Using John Deer jig tipped with shiner. 3 sheep head. All male walleyes a milking.

Thanks to all for your updates,

    Be Safe,

    Water Dog

I drift for walleye, sometimes I use a drift sock to slow down with any pushy winds. I have a spreader that I tip with shiners, and use a john deer green jig tipped with a shiner and a stinger hook. All is as close to the bottom.
My true love is perch fishing and that is an anchor and hope for a good swing.
You can see my honey hole gps on the save photo on this site.
When the walleye worm bite hits I drift again with crawlers and any worm harness will do.
    I like the erie dearies.

I set the Minn Kota to 0.5 mph, and set a bearing towards shallower or deeper water until I catch fish. Then I change the bearing to maintain that depth. It's basically a drift, but controlled, covering more water.

Sounds Great , you have it dialed in and sharing helps others!

I always have my late fathers pole, spreader shiners and no bling dragging. Last YEAR I got a double walleye on that spreader last year , and a first!

back at it, as soon and if the weather says so,

As always, be safe , wear the life jacket!

A sheep head day for sure , caught some real hogs!
    Released unharmed.
No walleyes, fishing the same area I did nw of Port Clinton
    12 fow.
Jig with a shiner and stinger.
One Big cat fish on my spreader pole, 12 fow no bling.
Not one walleye not sure what happened , water is stained but not really that bad. We did have some breeze weather prior to today.
Weather looks good tomorrow so we will see if I can get on them.

Any one with a heads up?

    Be Safe,
    Water Dog

And wear you life jacket! be safe on the lake.
