I have ramped a lot of places and most don't have rules posted. I ramp at Algonac on the St. Clair river occasionally and I didn't know there were rules there. I didn't see anything posted but there are 4 ramps and 2 have a red marking on the shore side and green on the other, the other 2 are the opposite. The green on the shore side are for launching the other 2 for retrieving. I ramped there quite a few times before I noticed that. The problem is a) nobody seems to follow it, and b) early in the morning everyone is launching, nobody coming out and in the afternoon everyone is retrieving and nobody is launching.

Main thing is be patient, be courteous, and be considerate. Like get ready before you get to the ramp and don't park on the ramp to drain and tie down. That's the only thing that bugs me. Unfortunately many people are more important and need to go first and we need to realize their privilege. They never get the memo.
