Re: Steelhead
I've never been east of Huron. Where do you launch to go out of Avon?

Re: Steelhead
Ok, got some info. 2 guys came in the fish cleaning station with 5 steelhead. They said they fished 60 ft. They had some walleye too.

Re: Steelhead
Yep I head to Avon and head north to about 70ft. Last year I did 3 trips and everyone was worth the drive.
Thanks for the info Jumpmaster hopefully I get to make it out this Friday. The wind is looking dam near perfect for the long run out.Last edited by HookSet Harvey; Yesterday at 02:36 PM.

Re: Steelhead
we fish out of Geneva July through August and don't start fishing until were at 60' up to 80' unless we get reports of shallower fish.
but we fish for eyes but have caught as many as 5 steelhead in one day. we did catch a few using harnesses but spoons worked so much better on eyes and SH.
purple worked best for eyes but chrome with a blue back caught both, and orange caught SH the best. so, make sure you have some orange spoons. we fished 45' to 65' deep with lite bite slide divers using 7' Fluro leaders and not the slide part, 2.8 to 3.2 was our best speed.
