Re: Jigging Up Some Walleye
First thing first, this was my first post of the year and I forgot to include some additional info so my apologies.
We were casting and jigging. Used 3/4 ounce purple hair jigs with stinger hooks. At least two of the fish would not have taken a boat ride if not for the stinger hooks.
The water temp was just under 42 degrees. The wind was perfect moving the boat at about .6 mph and I didn’t use a drift sock. The weather was overcast for the first hour but the sun came out and the fishing definitely picked up. It could be that we just drifted over more fish but the sun making an appearance felt very good.
