Mazurik Access Short Trip

I took a buddy to go after perch this morning: Hi-Way Bait had a note on the door that they are closed for 2 days, Herb's sign reads that they open at 10 a.m., and Bay's Edge was not open at 8:15 a.m. I brought along wintergreen alcohol shiners out of the freezer, so we launched at Mazurik and headed to the SE side of Kelley's. We set up, and the sun came out for a little while, but couldn't get a bite. So after an hour we got out our rods, boards, Bandits, and Flicker Minnows, and trolled towards Marblehead/Lakeside. We saw some spotty marks, and ended up with 4 walleyes before we ran into the sprinkles. Headed on in before 1 p.m.

Nice eaters ranging from 19-22.5 inches, 3 of them were males. We were surprised to see that the docks had been pulled out while we were fishing. Nice part of the day on that part of the lake, very little wind, and very little traffic.
