Draggin' the Line With Tom and Family
Finally got out fishing again after a month off the lake. Was going with Tom,who has a place on Johnson Island.Had a group of 6 on the boat today.Decided on a later start this Saturday morning based on the forecast of some stiff NW winds through the night and potential for some residual rollers. When got up,checked the weather bouy website and saw that the wind had laid down earlier than forecast.Headed east around the cedar point break wall and set up off Huron in 42 fow around 1030am.Set out only 4 dipsies.Had 2 other rod holders mounted on the swim platform but putting out boards on those rod holders, would have gotten in the way of our dipseys.Had Two double willow worm harnesses out and eventually put out two flicker shads. The dipsey on the 3 setting caught best at 90 and 95 and the other two on a 1 setting caught best at 65.Speed was 2.3- 2.7 mph.Was able to catch 17 keepers that weighed 26 lbs at cleaners.Had at least a dozen shorts and around 10 white perch.Finished up around 4pm.Biggest was 22".Was really nice day on the water and we had a great time.
