Newbie question on jigging

I usually drift slow. Sometimes 2 drift socks out to slow it down. I like to go .3-.5. Just make sure to are able to make bottom contact with your jig. Try not to drag it along the bottom. Sometimes subtle hops other times aggressive hops. Don't forget to try a blade bait. My favorite way to catch spring eyes.

I also have only jigged a couple of times with limited success. When you say "Don't forget to try a blade bait." do you mean a crawler harness / weapon but jig it along the bottom?
