Never owned a Mercury

I have a 2006 Verado 150 on my center console. It's been a good motor. Quiet and good on fuel. No major issues. Bought the boat used and it had about 200 hours on it. I'd guess I'm around 500 now.

I ran a 1999 135 optimax for 900 hours and never had a major problem. Had a 15 horse bigfoot kicker on the same boat and had even less problems with it.

My only complaint with the new 300 verado I now have is that sometimes I forget to turn it off when setting up fishing because it is so quiet.
