Perch Fishing

Fished out of the Catt today, launch ok (water low/no docks) no bites & marked very few.Fished 38-65 fow west of the catt & the same in front of Even.st park (white wall). Saw 3 other boats. Talked to a guy that launched out of SP & he said it wasn't to bad getting out by the sand bar. He got 3 perch. Was a nice day & lake was flat.

Did you run into any ice out there? I didn't drive by Sturgeon Pt. But I did see a lot of heavy thick shore ice around Angola and the bay by Big Sisters Creek & Small Sisters Creek.

There was shore ice on sunset beach & a line of ice coming off the end of the break wall about 20' wide. It had some open spots in it that we motored thru with no problem.

I was just going to post about SP. I drove by yesterday. There is a huge mound of sand piled in the mouth of the harbor. I don't know even if you could get around it. Maybe a kayak can. It's funny because if you check SP on lake vision it shows a pic like for two Wednesdays ago.

dec webpage said they just started dredging

I heard a rumor they stopped dredging SP due to lack of funds. Anyone else hear this?? Maybe thats why theres a pile at the enterance so no one can get in or out? Liability reasons ? That would s*$K!
