Perch Fishing

Got boat ready today and took it to the river launch at foot of sheridan (tonawanda) just to back her in in and run motor for a bit, but due to all the debris at the dock there was no way to get it in the water. Guess I'll be hooking up the ears in the yard tomorrow. On a postive note....if your looking for minnows to salt for perch, there are a ton of them to be had. Two dips with net and I had more than I could put in a 5 gal. bucket. Anyone know how Sturgeon is looking for early season launch? I may take a ride during the week to see myself. I'll post a report if so.

Hope its a good report....hate to have to put the chest waders on and pull the boat across a sand bar...lol!

fwiw...I was out there very late last fall and watched an 18' aluminum fishing boat have a dickens of a time getting out, and that was with sticks stuck into the lake to mark the deepest water depth into the lake
