I am assuming thats in canada?
No. Foot of Ontario St. Just inside the shipping channel.
Mike you can fish down at the end from shore
Heard the fishing is good at SBH in the ice free water inside the walls.
They have been getting good perch there (SBH) for over a week now. The best has been about the middle of the south wall on or between the "A" frame docks.
Anyone fishing out of SP for the perch yet ? It looks clear on buffalo cam 2!
Not me. I'm still trying to get the boat ready.
This darn work thing has to go - soon. :)
I see they have a ramp in I wonder if there is a lot of sand
I wonder if they'll close Sturgeon Point for launching until the dredging is done.
Unfortunately Bill they will and it will be very soon.
Any guesses on when it will be possible to get out on the lake from the SBH? The ice boom cam still shows a lot of ice by the mouth of the river...
you can launch now by dougs dive they been launching for a week
I talked with Evans Rec. Dept. yesterday. They will start dredging soon , probably Monday. An outside contractor is doing it. I was told it wouldn't take long. They couldn't verify that the would open on the 15 the but said that the 17 the would be a more realistic date. I asked if it would open by the holiday weekend and got a "Oh Yeah". "Before that".:D
what a great day for perch fishing/ those who went were greatly rewarded
What port?
was the catt
Also heard out of the Catt is the hot spot, guys are doing well. I just had hand surgery & will be healing up for a while. Dam!
Always heard it would either make ya go blind or give ya carpal tunnel. Sounds like lineman got the later LOL.
These dam droids will screw up your body. Lineman that wasn't your thumb that had the picture on Facebook?
Only blind in one eye & it wasn't my thumb! lol
Went out of the Catt on Monday to angola caught jumbo perch 50 ' of water with my new minkota ipilot no back strain as no need for an anchor great product:)
I heard all the docks were washed out of the Catt. on Tuesday due to the flash floods.:( Is SP launch open for use now? Also heard nite bite is started off smoke ck.
sbh is open
Capt just follow us out, be there by 6 am. LOL we'll show ya where they are
OK - Let's see who is going to be crowned PERCH MASTER FOR THE DAY?
It won't be me.:(
I have too many commitments. For now. Until the 31st. :D:D
How is the bait situation at the foot of Ferry?
stopped at the ft of ferry this morning lots of bait couple guys dipping one dip there enough bait for three people YELLOWPIKE1:cool:
oh my aching back and shoulders, went perching with anchor wheel, rough waters try turning that mini ferris wheel in 50' of water with 3 ftrs, no perch but a few laughs, miss my ipilot :)
Chopper I feel the same I pulled anchor three times yesterday and I feel it today. If anyone is going to the Catt state launches were not in the water yesterday. Hidden harbor only had one dock as the other was destroyed and the other launches closer to the mouth were all torn up.
We boated 26 over 12". Everything else we threw back. Also caught our bait at the foot of ferry.
Yes Don and I enjoyed watching you turn the wheel, but really two times up with the anchor and your back hurts . today would have been a good test for the I-Pilot, wonder how well it would have held  Talked with a guy that has the pilot, he went out but returned to the launch in short order, he didn't think the pilot would have held auto anchor today, but never got to even try. Any day on the water is a good day.
My buddies I pilot holds good up to 3 fters but then sometimes looses it. Working all the time trying.
Really, pulling anchor 2 X's and back hurts, best start working out.:) lol
I know a good P T. :D
guess I will start to drag some iron strapped to my back to get in shape, but met anchor wheel out today and he helped me catch some nice perch, hail to king anchor wheel, but just had to press my ipilot button and was right on his honey hole.:D
Hail ipilot :D
when king anchor wheel called me over to his honey hole, I met his new fishing partner, had a funny look on his face, don't know why he was only cranking on the anchor wheel 10 times, he started out a little flabby but by starting his work out @ 6:00 am until 4:00 pm he had new muscles, I guess anchor wheel supplies new partners with a complete outfit all orange jump suit, looked for fishing decals but only saw black numbers on his back, plus a neat looking black band but on his ankle, whats with that?:D attached to the big crank, but my right thumb is getting stronger ;), thanks again to king anchor wheel
