Skinny can you tell me why leadcore would break easy its bran new and one fish snapped it like it was butter I new it wasn't a steelie cause the fish hit when the pole was still in my hand

I’ve never used Leadcore so I’m not familiar with it at all. Maybe some of the guys here can help.
I’ve been researching dispy diver breaks this week. We had 3 break offs last weekend. But I’m pretty sure that was due to us not using snubbers.
