Today 08/25 52-54fow off Mentor Lagoons 3 limits nice sized fish 9+",4hrs.
Larger fish seem to be moving in to this area.

Today, 8/28/09
Fished 43' off of Sandcrest, marked fish on the way to Mentor Lagoons and figured we would give it a try. It was a great idea.
7 person limit 7:45-12:15. Many small fish in the mix but it was up and down.
Lake had a light chop with big rollers from N.E., on and off showers, but a great day of perchin. Had 3-first timers with us and it won't be there last.

Did well in 48ftw between the CEI stacks and Shorgate towers. Limited out in about 2 1/2 hours. Threw quite a few small ones back. Constant bite the whole time. Couple sheephead, white bass, and a big catfish in between.

9/04/09 48 fow off Shorgate Towers 3-Man Limit 3hrs(4:00-7:00pm)
9/05/09 43 fow off Sandcrest Apts. 4-Man Limit 2hrs (5:00-7:00pm)
9/06/09 43 fow off Sandcrest Apts. 4-Man Limit 5 hrs was slow until 1:00 then was fast and furious as lake kicked up. Caught last 60 fish in 1-1/2 hrs nice keepers.
9/07/09 Fished from Sandcrest to Hospital very slow and "wet" day. No fresh minnows available so used salted with the few we had left from Sunday. Ended day with 20 keepers. Off lake at 3:00pm. Heard the same reports all day.
This weekend seemed to produce the best results in the last 3 hrs of the day with larger fish and faster action. I talked to several other fisherman this weekend with the same opinion and results.
