Got a late start today, on the water by 8:30, fishing by 9:00. Then . . . came back in because of that one storm cloud. Hung out by the boat ramp just in case we needed to pull out. And trust me, when I put the rods back in the locker, there was static electricity everywhere. 15 minutes later, bluebird skies.

Three guys, but only two limits. Probably would have more, but late start. Oh yeah, and my brother doesn?t know how to net fish, so had a couple come off at the boat.

Mayflies were there, I?ll be cleaning the boat for a while.

Fished turned off around 10:45, turned back on around 11:30. East of the wave buoy was better.

42? of water drifting 1oz egg sinkers and blue/purple harnesses. The wind was pushing us almost 2mph, so I don?t think we were on bottom. Probably would have had more success with more weight. A lot of throwbacks, but one 27? and on 26?.

I had a nice one on, but the hook actually broke (not the line- the hook) so there?s that. It was a red Quick Change octopus hook. Not the first time. . .
