If I lived close, I'd be out there every day possible the next few weeks.

I am locking in to make it mid-week the first and second weeks of April for maiden voyages. Wish the 6 hour trip each way was much less! I'll be praying for decent weather, fishing out of my deep 17' Lund Fisherman. It is well set up, but still small for these waters if wind gets ugly. I'll puke if stuck on shore looking out, thinking what it could have been.
17 footer also. Sea Nymph CC171. I'm in the same boat as you. Got there once when I had a 16' Fishing Machine after the weather radio said calm to 2' from home. Actual waves were 2'-4' building to 3'-6'. We went out and made one drift and barely made it back in with the bilge running full time. Never want to try that again! Nearly got bashed into the rocks coming into the channel by a 30 footer's wake barrelling past us coming off throttle, as if the waves weren't hard enough on us!
