Say that wind does pick up… out of the NW, is there much opportunity early April on the East side of Catawba Island, or further over by the shorelines of Marblehead?

You could put in at Dempsey State Launch on the bay and come around to the east side of Marble Head that area usually hold eyes all year. But it would most likely be drift and cast or trolling! There may also be opportunity off of the Beach form Catawba all the way to Marble Head trolling for spawned out females as far off shore as the wind/weather permits. That area can be really good at times especially during and just after the spawn. I would recommend launching out of either East Harbor, West Harbor or Mazurik State Launch on Marble Head for that area.
