We headed out to west of Middle Island and drifted. Used weapons and one bottom bouncer pole. Picked up three nice walleye early then the wind died and changed direction. Couldn't get anything but sheephead and catfish for awhile. Then wind picked up again and we got 6 more before it died again. Biggest was 28" that came on the bottom bouncer, a couple 24" the rest were nice eaters. Threw back at least 15 shorts. Weapons with purple and pink blades did the best followed by gold. Most were between a 15 and 20 count. Trolled for a few after wind died completely and got one on a green wally diver but we were all hot and tired and called it a day. Not bad for 2 adults 2 10 yr olds and a 7 yr old. The adults got outfished by the 10 yr olds lol.
