    Captain Mike Patterson posted a report today that he was 2.7 miles out of Catawba State park heading west towards Bessie before finding less then 3 inches of ice. His report is on ohiogamefishing.com

    That is great news. The satellite images show some really nice looking ice cover over the entire Western Basin. Hopefully it stays that way!
