This is what i have been using to kill the perch we have been catching out of bula.We tried spreaders, crappie rigs with snell hooks,bling/no bling and none of these rigs worked.I have been tying one #6 hook about 9 inches above a barrel sinker.Tie the hook directly to the line.I have been catching more perch this way than when we used other rigs,I'm using a lightweight spinning rod with 6 lb. test mono line.Drop it to the bottom and tighten your line.If I don't get a perch within 15-30 seconds I slowly raise my rod tip one foot and then let it settle back to the bottom. These perch are biting so light it really takes a sensitive pole to detect the bite which often is just a slight quiver in the end of your pole. The ones that hit like a freight train usually end up being dinks. The Jumbos just lightly suck the minnow into their mouths.Good luck
