Mechanical issues forced us to stay grounded today. All fixed up & hoping to make it out Saturday morning. We just can't decide if we will go for Perch or Walleye. Hubby wants to catch a mess of Perch to feed all the guys up deer hunting dinner one night. All weather permitting. Right now forcasting 30% chance of isolated t-storms. Fingers crossed. Good luck to those who have bigger boats & can risk going out with rain/storms.

    Cool Blue Eyes

The Red & White buoy is known as McDonalds. The turning basin is where the Detroit Channel & Toledo Channel connect. I would also recommend to run the Jet divers in your rod holders. They get soo much action you get a much better indication of hits. Especially if its a White bass or other nuisance fish. Run a couple meat rigs out on the boards. I prefer (opinion) to run out to turning basin and troll east till i find them. Mark with your GPS. and do figure 8's through the pod till it dies down. Then start over in search mode

Weve been doing well going straight out of Bolles towards dumping grounds and stopping at 4 miles to start and working to 4.5 miles until we find them. Casting gold weapons with 1/2 egg on a 15count. Good luck this weekend. Heres a map of the buoys on the channel also from WBSA. The big red one is usually referred to as Sputnik , then 2 more south is Mcdonalds/New Structure.
