The three holes in the TRU-TRIP where the leader attaches affects the depth. It mainly comes into play @ leads of 100ft or more. The difference is about 1ft to every 50ft of lead, the hole closest to the fin will dive deeper, the hole closest to the chamber will dive shallower. Most anglers use the middle hole

I have been running the tru trips behind offshore boards and the look is similar. Squatty in the back. I did notice that if you don't see a smaller white bass initially hit that it can be tough to tell your dragging him.
