Sunday Perch
Fished 2 1/2 miles north of Wards Canal. 21' of water. 10:00 - 2:00. 4 man limit. Best grade of fish for the year. Spreaders with or without bling. Yellow beads worked best.

Fished same spot tonight. 120 fish between 5:00 and 8:00. Caught a lot more smaller fish than Sunday. Bait had to be in the mud or there would be no bite. Same as Wayne and Reel Sport have been taking about. No bling spreaders and Skipper9 rigs.

Took a 3 generation crew out for a short trip Sunday. Left dock at 11:30 and back at 3:30. Started with the group of boats north of intake and sorted a lot of fish. Moved to the east 1 mile and marked fish but almost no bite. Went to the spot from the last 2 trips in front of Wards canal and had a steady bite. 59 perch with an average size of 8 - 8.5 inches. Schools of sheephead moving through the area would trigger all rods at the same time. The little guy, 9 years old had a great time with them on his ultra lite. Spreaders with no bling. Red hooks. Bait must be on the bottom.
