Most on the western basin end cleaners are $1.25 per lb live wt. That is why I keep all of my perch as dry as possible and use alot of ice frozen in 2 liter pop bottles and the large laundry soap bottles they keep them cold and dry so I am not paying to have water wt. added to the perch's live wt. cleaning cost.
The 2 that I am currently using are the one at Wild Wings and Cutures fish cleaning. they both do a good job with Wild Wings splitting the fish into 2 fillets and Cutures using the butterfly style of filleting. both bags your catch after cleaning and keeps them refridgerated until pickup.Wakina

Thanks
Not a bad price if it's a long day, I don't want to clean fish till dark. Just as soon set and watch out the window
. Thanks again, Mike

Cutcher cleans/ butterflies at a rate of about 5 perch per minute after scaling, it is just amasing how fast he is. I haven't cleaned perch in over 10 years, 5 hours on the lake going out, fishing and returning to dock, as well as all the other little things that goes along with a boating/fishing day such as cleaning the boat, putting tackle and electronics away and covering the boat, I don't want another 1.5 to 2 hours cleaning perch, especially in the heat like yesterdays. The cost is minimal if compared to boat ownership and the fish are cleaned better than I could do it myself. But that is just my personal preference.

agree
I will clean eyes but I agree sending the perch and having them done is money well spent.

I must be the minority. I'd rather clean them myself. Fishing is expensive enough these days with the boat ownership, gas, fuel to tow the boat, shiners, any beer/food, etc.
If I can save a few bucks by cleaning them, I will

Wakina,
I don't see any argument here, just people posting their preferences. I am one that has had some poor experiences with fish cleaning by others but I am sure there are many that feel cleaning services are wonderfull. Unfortunately i have a budget to stay within and while I would not want to clean fish for a living myself, it is necessary for me to keep fishin and eatin !!
All this talk of perch has me hungry, think I will take some out of the freezer for tomorrow...

I used to fillet my fish. Now, I dont get out as much as I used to and way out of practice. So I will pay someone to clean em for me, that way I still get something to eat instead of butchering the whole mess to get a few nice fillets.. Money makes the world go round and I will gladly spend what little I have... LOL.... And keep my fingers
