I've never seen the need for lead core but I am willing to keep an open mind. One learns from the experience of others. Let me know how you do.

I used to use 2,3,4, colors of leadcore years ago. It worked pretty well for me but it seemed like I was reeling forever to get the fish in. Haven't tried it in a long time. I use dipsys and jets instead.

I'm an Eastern basin fisherman and fished put in bay in may, we used 27# 5 color leadcore and crushed them. We put over 30 fish in the boat on leadcore with harnesses. We ran an easy program leadcore, 2oz torpedo divers with harnesses, and deep diving reef runners on mono. Dont ever discount lead core, its a staple in my program for charters and tournys.
