I would start north of a and move north around the island. If you catch a few fish in one area work that area. No reason you should have to cover an 8-10 mile area. There are plenty of fish out there. Find the active ones and work them. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice CAPT, is purple still the hot color on spoons and bare naked on the ddrr? Are the active fish running shallow or deep or both? Really excited about the coming weekend fishing with my son and grand daughters.

Just a lttle luck
Got a late start didn't make it to the boat until 6:30 pm. headed out to the gravel pit picked up 4, lost 1 at the boat and 1 was 14.5". Will be out tomorrow AM. Thanks for the help.
