    Smile feb. walleyes

we had same river and winter in the seventies, water high always bring the fish in, no ice, water temps not bad for this time of year, if weather stays same you will see walleyes in the back mud areas mid to late feb, in surprising numbers , I fished
the run now for over 46 years and have allways caught walleyes
well before the groups of fishermen comes down, I.m just giving a little tought to an early run. Wayne Reel Sport Charters

Yesterday the water temp was 36 and the river was at 583 1/2. If the weather holds out like this for 2 to 3 more weeks I WILL be down the last week in February, maybe earlier. An early run HAS happened before. The resident fish will be in there. With no ice, I bet there are some eyes in the bay alreday just waiting for the water temp to go up about 6 more degrees. I'm keepin my fingers crossed.
