what a day to be on the lake. the perch were hungry. a brisk off shore wind, and a 2 man limit by 9:45...... 16 lbs. at the cleaners. home by noon. 4 miles from mienkes, 16 fow. wow............

We got out after 11 and wind was howling so I anchored off the bow. Boat was swinging so bad we had a hard time keeping on bottom. Struggled to get 60 in 16 ft. then moved into 14 ft. and got the other 30, 24 lbs.less than 1 mile out of Cooley entrance.

Where do you take your fish to get cleaned when you fish in that area? I'm hoping to get up there this weekend and try for some perch.

Both Al Szuchs and Butch and Dennys are still open. We had a crazy morn. today Left dock at 915 and back at 1215. Started in 16 ft. SW pretty calm turned to NW then NE and was about 3 ft. when we finished. Ended up in 14 ft. when anchor kept letting loose.60 fish 15 lbs.

Yea butch and denny's said they would have someone in thur night or friday to clean them. It was nice in the morning but when that wind changed it got rocky. Got our limit to in shallow over by Little Cedar Point 14# at the cleaners

If you are coming out of Cooley Canal(Meinkes west, Anchor Point) it's the point that sticks out to your west.

Ah, thanks. I'm a rookie to the area and trying to learn.
First year fishing Lake Erie and only been on it 5 times and that was around the islands.
Appreciate all the help this forum gives.
