Perch Report 07/31/26

[West Basin]

Friend and buddy caught two limits of yellow perch near Green Island today. Fish were generally small, about one toss back per perch kept.

Sorry no better location, he didn't say. I'd guess south or se or sw of the Island.

what is the smallest size you will keep?

They must be over 8" or I don't bother cleaning them. I have a tool on my cooler lid that shows an 8.25" length they must match that or longer to be worth the trouble to clean them. Even if I only get a few, there us enough there to make a sandwich...at over 20 bucks per pound, I only need 12-15 to pay for my trip out.

I thought 8" and up would be a good size, I hope to get up there this coming weekend and catch a few, we stay at Wild Wings Good luck on your nest outing
