Well Friday and Saturday were the same method as the 2 days before.
Friday two of us caught 11 nice fish before the wind switched 180 degrees and we decided to head in before the storm came. Blue chrome did the best for us. Caught my first sheephead of the year before I even got out all my lines.
Saturday there were 3 of us and we did the same thing. It was overcast and chilly all day compared to the previous days. We tried a few dark purples Bandits but the walleye wanted shiny things so that's what we fed them. Again Blue/chrome Bandits were the bait of choice. We sped up to 1.7-1.9 after catching our first 6 fish and did a little better.
We found a nice honey hole that had a good group of hungry ones and would pick up a double everytime we got there. We needed two to finish up and ended up with 4 lines tripping so we culled out the two smallest of the four and rapped it up for the day at 11:30 to clean em. More smaller fish today but our smallest was 17" and 26" was the largest.
That's 53 fish in four days, a record first week for the Hooked On Fishin
Next week looks like rain every other day so we'll have to see how week two goes.
