7.19 report- Very Active Pod

Tried to get out on Friday and it just wasn’t happening. Terrible NE winds making the water miserable everywhere.

On to Saturday

Huron is still on fire off the Dump. 42-45 ft of water. Trip Z’s & Dipsy’s with a variety of spoon colors and sizes. Didn’t seem to matter. 2.5-3 was the speed. Tons of farm animals but 3 man limit in 3 hours. Off the water by 11am. Happy fishing!

I've been watching the solunar charts since the recent posts on that topic. Interestingly, Saturday was supposed to be no good.

How much leader do you use with the Trip Zs?

I saw the same thing but decided to risk it…wind has been so strange the last few days. Swirling. The water had laid down enough to make it an enjoyable ride.

5-7 ft would be my guess. I do the arms spread, plus a couple feet.
