A few years ago I snagged a line and started pulling it up once I got my bait into the boat. It had a catfish hooked up to that line so we netted it and got in the boat and could see the line was still going out. So I pulled on the line on the other end and finally got it to the end and a brand new rod and reel was there looked like it had only been down there a day or so. So that was a nice find. Certainly a first for me!
