Fishing out of Huron

With the ice gone in front of the mouth of the river and all the rain, it shouldn't be long until we will be out fishing. I'm hoping for next weekend. I just need it to open up within 100 yards of the ramp to make it out. That and it not to be blowing 100 mph. Lol. It won't be long now.

I like slow trolling for the big ones. I duck hunt and I haven't been out since mid January, so it's time.

I've heard that you duck hunters are pretty adventurous when getting out hunting or fishing on Erie.Heard you also clear the ice at the ramps for yourself and the fisherman benefit from the access you provided.Thanks

My wife informs me we only have 6 meals of fish left in the freezer. Gonna have to go soon!
Early in the season, is slow trolling out of Huron the way to go? Using Bandits? Or jigging over by the cooling tower?

I saw that the mouth of the river is ice free, on the live feed. How close to the ramp is it open.
