Re: Where to go in the wind
Wednesday wind forecast out of the south, mostly 11-15mph, so ok. Thursday and Friday westerly 18-25. First, try right out in front of the shore in the South Passage. Lots of walleye caught in the South Passage last few weeks, and at times from Mouse Island east about a mile, 1 1/2 miles off shore. If not there, you'll need to get to the east side of the Bass Islands. Getting across the South Passage will ge fun. Lots of area from Starve Island to North Bass. I'd try from Starve going N until you find some active fish. Probably off Middle Bass Island Lucky's Point (eatern tip of Middle Bass) could be good. Kelleys will be a rough ride getting to the east side, and you don't have as much area to fish there in the Lee. Good fishing!
You also have the option of trailering to the West end of the Lake and launching from the north side of Toledo. Or get a Michigan License and that gives you all the way to the Detroit River Mouth.Last edited by West Basin; 06-04-2024 at 06:33 PM.
